Four customizable layouts, from the raised mezzanine to the full Neon Room at 150 standing. Over 40 draft lines, and catering from Remedy Burger with gluten-free and vegan options. Tell us the date and the headcount and we’ll take it from there.
Current hours for each location are listed on that location’s page at theveilbrewing.com. Holiday hours and release-day changes are posted on Instagram and Facebook: @theveilbrewing
No. Seating at all taprooms is first come, first served, and there’s usually plenty of room. If you’re looking to hold space for a group, submit a private event inquiry: theveilbrewing.com/private-events
For parties of 15 or more, we’d recommend booking a private event. Without a booking, large groups are seated first come, first served like everyone else, so we can’t guarantee you’ll sit together. Email events@theveilbrewing.com and we’ll walk you through it.
Yes, at all times, at all three taprooms. The only exception is the Only You Lounge at our Norfolk location, which is 21+.
Pets are welcome on our patios. Because our taprooms are full restaurants, we can’t accommodate pets indoors. Service animals are welcome throughout.
Scott’s Addition (Richmond) — Parking lot behind the building, entrance from Belleville Street. Limited street parking nearby.
Forest Hill (Richmond) — Parking lot off Forest Hill Ave., plus limited street parking in the surrounding blocks.
Norfolk — Parking lot off Colonial Ave., plus limited street parking in the surrounding blocks.
All three locations are ADA accessible, with accessible parking, restrooms, and service counters.
Forest Hill and Norfolk each have an upper level reached by stairs; those upper levels are not wheelchair accessible. Every location has an outdoor patio with plenty of seating and shade.
No outside food, with one exception: cakes and desserts are welcome at private events, as long as you let us know in advance.
We don’t offer tours.
No, we don’t host live music or performances at any of our locations.
Snap away, casual photos are always fine. Make sure to stop by our in-house photobooth at our Scott’s Addition location as well!
Professional shoots, commercial work, drone footage, and film crews need approval in advance. Email info@theveilbrewing.com with the details and we’ll go from there.
Yes. Every location has a full kitchen with its own in-house food concept:
Menus, kitchen hours, and dietary information are on each location’s page at theveilbrewing.com.
Every location carries cider, seltzer, kombucha, wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic beer, soda, and coffee.
New beer drops every Wednesday. We announce the week’s releases at the start of each week on Instagram and Facebook: @theveilbrewing
Most releases are also available online:
Pickup — eatattheveil.com
Shipping — shop.theveilbrewing.com
Sometimes. Limits are usually applied only to very rare or limited offerings, and usually only on release day. Check our social posts for that week’s release info, or ask a server.
Yes, cans and bottles are available to go any time we have them in stock. Each location updates available inventory each day on their respective location page at theveilbrewing.com.
We don’t do vessel fills of any kind: no crowlers, no growlers, no outside growlers.
Not directly from us. Our kegs go out through distribution only. In Virginia, that’s Specialty Beverage. For any other states, please refer to our Wholesale page for who to contact to find our beer local to you.
Master Shredder and whiteferrari are available year-round. Everything else is produced on a limited or seasonal basis, so there’s no fixed schedule.
If there’s a beer you miss, tell us by messaging us on social or email info@theveilbrewing.com. We’re always interested in what our customers want, and it factors into how we build out the brewing schedule.
Almost certainly not. All of our beer is unfiltered, and many of our heavily adjunct-forward releases can carry residual ingredients; coconut cream, for example, can separate and settle at the top of the bottle. It doesn’t affect the flavor or the intent of the beer.
Before opening, give the bottle or can a few gentle turns upside down and right side up a few times. That’ll help it pour cleanly and homogenize any separation.
If something still seems off, email us photos and we’ll take a look.
Yes. Purchase online or in person at any taproom: shop.theveilbrewing.com/merch
We don’t send out promotional items. Stickers and merch are available in the webstore: shop.theveilbrewing.com
Pennsylvania orders have to be placed using the PA Shipping Build Your Own Box item, and it needs to be the only beer item in your cart:
shop.theveilbrewing.com/product/pennsylvania-shipping-build-your-own-box
Most checkout issues happen when items are added from the general “Beers” category page instead. Add the Build Your Own Box from the “PA Shipping” category and you should be good.
Merchandise can also ship to PA, but it has to be ordered separately from beer so we can stay compliant with Pennsylvania’s limitations.
Openings are posted on Instagram and Facebook: @theveilbrewing. If nothing is listed there, we’re not currently hiring, but we encourage you to email us at jobs@theveilbrewing.com with your position of interest and resume to be kept on file for future openings.
We don’t host food trucks. Every location has its own in-house kitchen concept.
We don’t take outside artist inquiries.

No — we share a name, but we’re The Veil Brewing Company. Beer, hops, yeast, controlled chaos. We’re not the folks distilling Veil Vodka. We get this one a lot, so you’re in good company. Good luck on the vodka hunt, and if the search ever takes a sharp turn toward beer, we can help there.
