A modern, industrial vibe with an expansive patio, event space, gender-neutral restrooms, and a brand new in-house food concept, Nokoribi, serving Japanese-inspired plates for lunch and dinner. Our Scott’s Addition taproom is family friendly and offers cans/bottles to-go, in addition to draft for on-premise consumption.

9th Anniversary Stout/Barleywine

Apple Brandy When the Ashes Settle is the barrel-aged version of our Troon Brewing collab released at Dark Daze 2023. The original concept was a complex, viscous candy apple-inspired imperial stout conditioned on Laird's Apple Brandy-soaked apples. Ghirardelli caramel sauce, whole Madagascar vanilla beans, roasted Virginia peanuts, and a touch of freshly-ground Vietnamese cinnamon. After conditioning on the adjuncts, we filled a handful of freshly-dumped Laird's Apple Brandy barrels and stashed them away for 16 months. Post barrel aging, we find ourselves with an amazingly layered and polished version of the original release. Notes of warming Apple Brandy, sticky caramel, melted milk chocolate bars, creamy peanut butter, with a subtle hint of baking spices. Full-bodied with a restrained sweetness.

Barrel Aged Sky Summoner is the barrel-aged version of our collab with Horus Aged Ales, released at Dark Daze 2023. The original recipe was a mash-up of Kyle's base imperial stout mixed with one of our house imperial stouts, then we conditioned that beer on Wild Thai banana, toasted coconut, and whole vanilla beans from Uganda, Tahiti, and the Congo. We then took that beer post-conditioning on the adjuncts and aged it in a blend of Blis Maple Bourbon, Laird's Apple Brandy, and Willett Family Reserve barrels for 16 months. The final result is an incredibly refined version of the original release. All the adjuncts have married quite nicely and now have become an added complexity, all with a prominent spirit/oak backbone. Notes of Mounds candy bars, Banoffee pie, Cocoa Puffs, and maple-drenched chocolate chip pancakes. Incredibly drinkable and not overly sweet.

Bourbon Barrel Overwhelmingly Ridiculous Extra Oustanding Sleeping Forever Batch #2 is our anniversary Imperial Stout Sleeping Forever aged in a blend of Willett and Russel Reeserve Bourbon barrels for an average of 34 months. We took that blend and conditioned it on hundreds and hundreds of pounds chocolate sandwich cookies. Notes of melty chocolate fudge, creamy vanilla frosting on a vanilla cupcake, assertive but approchable Bourbon heat, and sticky chocolate chip cookie dough. If you were a fan of Batch #!, you're going to love this version.

Holographic Universe: Extended Age is our Untappd Gold Medal-winning Wheatwine aged in Willett Bourbon barrels for 40 months (19 months longer than the original release)! Deep mahogany in color, the extended aging contributes a polished, refined expression of the style. Notes of warm dates, tender raisins, lush tobacco leaves, wheated Bourbon, and soft oak tannins.

Maple Bourbon Sleeping Forever (2025) is our anniversary Imperial Stout aged in BLiS Maple Bourbon barrels for 41 months. Buried deep in our barrel cellar, we found a pair of Maple Bourbon Sleeping Forever. We pulled the nails to sample them, and to no surprise, they tasted incredible! Notes of maple-drenched chocolate chip pancakes, caramel syrup on rocky road ice cream, and a warm bourbon swirl. Despite these tasting notes, the final expression is balanced with minimal sweetness.

xtreme slumber17% ABV
Xtreme Slumber is a blend of Double Barrel Eternal Slumber: Extended Age, which is a blend of Sleeping Forever aged in Buffalo Trace Bourbon, French Cognac, Laird's Apple Brandy, and BLiS Bourbon maple syrup barrels aged for approximately 18 months. That blend was then aged again in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for an additional 36 months. We took those barrels and blended them with Sleeping Forever Xtreme: Extended Age aged in Old Fitz, Elijah Craig 8yr, and Laird's Apple Brandy barrels for 32 months. We took that blend and conditioned it on a classic combo of freshly ground Vietnamese cinnamon and fresh whole bean Madagascar Vanilla. The final result is a spectacular one-off that we will never be able to recreate. Notes of chocolate syrup drenched vanilla bean ice cream, Bourbon soaked dark chocolate, your granny's sticky toffee pudding, and caramel nougat filled chocolate candy bars. We're super stoked on this one.

Dark/Stout/

Barleywine

Shadow has been on our minds since we opened in 2016, but never found the time to make this beer properly, until now. Shadow is a traditional Baltic Porter fermented with lager yeast then lagered in stainless for an additional 6 weeks. We then transfer the beer out of the fermenter into freshly dumped French Oak Tawny Port barrels, direct from Portugal. Once the barrels were filled, we pushed them into our walk-in cooler and barrel aged the beer cold for 16 months. After cold aging in the barrels, we blended the barrels back into a stainless tank and lagered it again for another 2 weeks. We’re extremely pleased with the final result. Notes of dry dark chocolate, espresso, light oak tannins, medium body, minimal sweetness, with a zippy carbonation level. Perfect beer for cool nights as we transition into spring, or for any time of the year for that matter.

Iron Jaw is an Imperial Stout. Half of this batch is fresh, while the other half is blended barrel aged stock of different recipes and ages from our barrel cellar including 30 month Apple Brandy Sleeping Forever, 30 month Buffalo Trace rye barrel aged Imperial Stout stock, and 48 month Buffalo Trace bourbon aged Imperial Stout stock. The stock recipes are each different. We have always loved the idea of adding a touch of barrel aged beer to fresh Imperial Stouts to add depth and character, and Iron Jaw is an extension of that. An incredibly complex beer in a can for your enjoyment right now that was years in the making.

Sleeping Forever is our dense, oily, jet black anniversary Imperial Stout brewed every March. This brand was one of the first beers ever brewed at The Veil back in March 2016 and was released for the very first time at our Grand Opening in April 2016. Velvety soft, juicy citrus, beautiful opacity, and a hidden 11% make this an incredibly drinkable TIPA.

Ice Cold is an open-fermented Saison brewed with 100% wheat and gently hopped with Motueka and Nelson hops. We used a large portion of local raw wheat in this batch. Crispy and refreshing with a hint of bright citrus pith and gentle minerality.

Melancholia is an open-fermented Saison. One of our favorite stainless-fermented Saisons that we produce. Awesome farmhouse phenolics pair perfectly with the rye and spelt grist. This batch is crisp, effervescent, and refreshing with nice notes of lemon verbena and white pepper.

TEFNUT blackberry margarita crush (COLLAB W/ OMNIPOLLO)11% ABV
Our mind-melting collab with Omnipollo that truly pushes fruit beer limits. We pump stupid amounts of blackberry, lime, agave, OJ, and lime salt in this Cosmic Imperial Gose. Pours a vibrant fuchsia color with rhubarb, citrus, cherry, blackberry marg flavors. A thick body layers jammy blackberry, candied orange and key lime. A hint of salted rim cuts the sweetness. A boozy blackberry marg in beer form that we had to bring back for the nice weather.

sleeping forever 202512% ABV
Sleeping Forever is our dense, oily, jet black anniversary Imperial Stout brewed every March. This brand was one of the first beers ever brewed at The Veil back in March 2016 and was released for the very first time at our Grand Opening in April 2016. The canned version always has a small amount of barrel-aged Sleeping Forever blended in for extra depth.

shadow12% ABV
Shadow has been on our minds since we opened in 2016, but never found the time to make this beer properly, until now. Shadow is a traditional Baltic Porter fermented with lager yeast then lagered in stainless for an additional 6 weeks. We then transfer the beer out of the fermenter into freshly dumped French Oak Tawny Port barrels, direct from Portugal. Once the barrels were filled, we pushed them into our walk-in cooler and barrel aged the beer cold for 16 months. After cold aging in the barrels, we blended the barrels back into a stainless tank and lagered it again for another 2 weeks. We’re extremely pleased with the final result. Notes of dry dark chocolate, espresso, light oak tannins, medium body, minimal sweetness, with a zippy carbonation level. Perfect beer for cool nights as we transition into spring, or for any time of the year for that matter.

Iron Jaw is an Imperial Stout. Half of this batch is fresh, while the other half is blended barrel aged stock of different recipes and ages from our barrel cellar including 30 month Apple Brandy Sleeping Forever, 30 month Buffalo Trace rye barrel aged Imperial Stout stock, and 48 month Buffalo Trace bourbon aged Imperial Stout stock. The stock recipes are each different. We have always loved the idea of adding a touch of barrel aged beer to fresh Imperial Stouts to add depth and character, and Iron Jaw is an extension of that. An incredibly complex beer in a can for your enjoyment right now that was years in the making.

Racy and focused with a complex bouquet of lemon-lime citrus, apple and pear. On the palate a New Zealand style grassiness intermixes with the same rich fruit notes from the nose. Finishing with cleansing acidity, this one is fresh and juicy all on its own.

arndorfer strasser weinberge reislingStraßertale, Austria

Arndorfer Strasser Weinberge Riesling is a white wine produced by Austrian winemakers Martin and Anna Arndorfer. The grapes are sourced from two of Kamptal's most important crus, Strasser Gaisberg and Wechselberg. Both of these sites are planted to old Riesling vines which tend to give more concentrated grapes. In the winery, Martin enjoys experimenting with different vessels, often using a mix of stainless steel and oak, which he uses to build complexity in his final wine.
